About the Author Lee Ahlstrom resides in Katy, Texas, alongside his wife Pattie, to whom he has been happily married for over 30 years. Together, they have raised three children, all of whom share their parents’ deep commitment to the Christian faith. Mr. Ahlstrom’s professional background is in engineering and business. He has experience across the oil, gas, and telecommunications sectors, serving in diverse operational and leadership roles in the U.S. and internationally. However, Mr. Ahlstrom finds his deepest fulfillment in studying and teaching God’s Word. He has spent over two decades leading bible studies and Sunday School classes, with a passion for making Scripture accessible. Echoing the wisdom of Proverbs 25:2, he finds solace in the pursuit of understanding the Bible—a lifelong journey that continually renews his faith. Grateful for living in the age of divine grace, Mr. Ahlstrom cherishes the promise that salvation is a gift, freely offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He looks forward to contributing further scholarly work focused on biblical prophecy and equipping fellow believers to effectively teach the Word of God. For other books by Lee Ahstrom, click here . Lesson Overviews Lesson 1: Revelation Chapter 1 - The Revelation of Jesus Christ This lesson covers the divine origin and purpose of Revelation, an overview of interpretive approaches, and a detailed study of Revelation Chapter 1. It examines John's vision of the risen, glorified Christ and the instruction to write what he has seen, what is, and what is to come. Lesson 2: The Church at Ephesus Examining the first letter to the church at Ephesus, this lesson explores the seven components of the letters to the churches. It looks at the Ephesian church's commendation for sound doctrine and rebuke for losing its first love, along with personal and prophetic applications. Lesson 3: The Church at Smyrna This lesson covers the letter to the persecuted but faithful church at Smyrna. It focuses on the themes of suffering, poverty, and the "crown of life" for those who endure trials. Prophetic links to the era of martyrs from 100-312 AD are proposed. Lesson 4: The Church at Pergamos Studying the letter to Pergamos, the lesson unpacks the references to Balaam and idolatry. It examines compromises with the world and the exhortation to repent. Connections to the church's "marriage" to the world after 312 AD are suggested. Lesson 5: The Church at Thyatira This letter condemns Thyatira's toleration of "Jezebel" and her immorality, while commending their works. The lesson explores the depths of Satan, tribulation, and the promise that holding fast will exempt one from the hour of trial. Links to the medieval Catholic Church are proposed. Lesson 6: The Church at Sardis Sardis is rebuked for having a reputation for being alive but actually being dead. The lesson focuses on the need for vigilance and repentance to avoid Christ's coming as a thief. Parallels to the Protestant Reformation are drawn. Lesson 7: The Church at Philadelphia Philadelphia is the faithful missionary church, promised deliverance from trial. The open door and synagogue of Satan are examined, along with Philadelphia's prophetic ties to the modern missionary movement. Lesson 8: The Church at Laodicea The lukewarm Laodicean church is spewed out of Christ's mouth. The lesson explores their delusions of wealth, the gold refined by fire, and the rebuke to repent. Connections to today's compromising church are proposed. Lesson 9: The Seven Churches - A Future Jewish View This lesson presents the alternative interpretation that the seven churches represent future Jewish assemblies during the Tribulation. The evidence for this view is examined.
